What are the rates of pay?

Staff are paid in accordance with the Feros Care Enterprise Bargaining Agreement 2009. Rates of pay will be provided at interview. Because Feros Care is a not for profit provider of aged and community services we can also offer an exceptional range of salary packaging entitlements for permanent members of staff.

Is travel paid?

Yes, you will be reimbursed according to the Agreement rate of 64c per kilometre between clients (increasing to 66c per km from 1.7.10).

How long are the shifts/runs?

These vary according to how many clients require services and the type
of services they have – but usually the average is between 4-6 hours
for a morning run and 2-4 hours for an afternoon run.

How many hours would I get?

This varies dependent on the number of days you will be available to
work.

Are there weekend and evening shifts?

The weekend runs are for usually for essential services as most people
prefer to have services during the week. There are some afternoon runs which usually finish in the early evening.

Do I need to be available every day?

More availability means we can allocate more work however we do have
staff who have limited availability due to study and family commitments which we are happy to accommodate.

Is there a variety of work?

We provide a full range of services which include domestic, care,
clinical, respite, social, transport and general support.

What type of clients are there?

We have a variety of government funded and privately funded programs.
Most of our client are older people, or people living with a
disability. More detail for each program is on the website.

What area would I need to cover?

Wherever possible we allocate staff to their local areas – this varies
across our geographic locations and of course your preferences.

Do I have to wear a uniform?

As the ‘face’ of Feros Care your presentation is of utmost importance
to us and our clients. All staff are required to adhere to the Feros
Care dress code at all times when on duty.
